Mobile Planetarium

Experience the wonders of the night sky from inside our Discovery Domes. We will bring one of our inflatable domes to your location, along with a trained astronomy educator. See the stars, the Moon and the planets day or night, rain or shine. We have programs for all ages - preschool through high school and adult. The mobile planetarium is available to everyone including educational institutions, libraries, non-profits, and private organizations.

Our Mobile Planetarium utilizes a portable theater and a state of the art digital projection system. Our large domes are 18 feet in diameter on the inside, with a footprint of about 24 feet diameter, are 13 feet high, and must be set up inside.  This is more than large enough for an entire average-sized class to enter, yet portable enough to be deployed easily to the entire Region XIII area and beyond. We can seat up to 45 children or 30 adults for each show.

We also purchased a smaller dome. This dome is 16 feet long and 20 feet wide and only 9 feet high and also must be set up inside. This is large enough for an average-sized class, or 25-30 elementary children.

We offer a wide variety of Mobile Planetarium Programs of both live presentations and premier international planetarium educational videos. We even have biology-themed programs for middle and high school. See our programs page.

See our pricing page for Non-Profit and Educational planetarium rates.

Please note that mobile planetarium reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.

Planetarium Shows are recommended for ages 3 & up.

Younger children are only allowed with a parent or guardian.
